Benissa is 12 km inland a lovely Spanish market town with a rather grand church in one of its many squares. If sailing is your passion, then head to Denia 24kms north it has a large yacht marina, castle and you can hop on the Hydrofoil and visit Ibiza in 90 minutes. Shop until you drop in Guadalest 32 km inland where you can buy a variety of leather goods, fabrics and ceramics. Visit the castle and a small chapel for beautiful mountain scenery.
